About Old Border

The Old Border is about crossing the border of modernity and about the daring courage, nowadays, to enjoy the simple things: a perfect meal with fresh ingredients, a sunrise accompanied only by the sound of the waves or a conversation, which does not end even at the first signs of dawn, with friends.

So we challenge you to live your own adventure: a vacation broken from everyday life, in which you focus only on your loved ones and on every moment that can become a unique memory – campfires, lazy mornings, the unique smell of the sea or the laughter of the little ones when they make a unique discovery or create a new game.

In the morning we welcome you with coffee, tea and fresh fruits, and after that you choose your own adventure of the day: laze on a sun lounger with a good book or your soul album, swim in the clean water of the sea, serve dishes from the Dobrogea gastronomy at Sarmuzac – a local gastronomic point opened within The Old Border or explore the surroundings (the most beautiful places in Dobogrea, the seaside or the Bulgarian neighbors).

The Old Border is a marine–themed boutique hotel with 16 double rooms (8 ground floor rooms and 8 rooms with sea view, upstairs), each with a double bed of 1.60×2.00m, private bathroom, AC, cable TV, refrigerator, hairdryer, wardrobe, WiFi. One child up to 6 years old stays free of charge in the parents‘ room if an extra bed is not requested. For children between 7–18 years old or families with two children under 7 years old, a folding bed is placed in the parents‘ room at an additional cost of 120 Ron/night.

We have an equipped summer kitchen and terrace for preparing and serving meals on your own and a playground for children.

In the morning we offer coffee, tea and fruit on the house.

At Sarmuzac–local gastronomic point within The Old Border you can serve traditional Dobrogean dishes, healthy and tasty (breakfast, lunch or dinner) with prior reservation.

The terrace has facilities for working outside the office.

We can provide you with a baby cot/playpen up to 2 years old and a baby chair free of charge.

We offer free parking for our guests’ personal cars.
